A Grand C19th Bronze mounted Bureau Plat

A superb C19th bronze mounted Bureau Plat in Louis XV style. This grand and elegant desk is of outstanding quality with well cast bronze mounts and oak substructure and linings throughout. 3 deep drawers provide useful storage whilst the reverse side is mounted with identical 'blind drawers' and mounts to allow the desk to stand symmetrically in the centre of a room. The original ebonised finish has softened and the bronze mounts have patinated to give the desk a beautiful 'Country House' appearance and feel. Height to frieze, 59cm.
