A Large late C20th Ceramic 'Beobab' Tree Sculpture in Grés from La Borne by Marie Jo Brisson and Daniel Gauthier, signed MJB DG 01. La Borne hosts a rich centuries old community of wood fired stoneware ceramicists and sculptors in the Cher Department of France. Daniel Gauthier studied under Marie Jo Brisson and this appears to be a collaborative piece. Gauthier has similar work in the Sevres Museum. Both artists died in 2004 and 2006 respectively.
