A 1960s Abstract Bronze group of Horses and Riders 'Before the Start' by Werner Fenn, Allgäu Germany 1932-2000. One of 6 examples cast by the artist and sold by Galerie Schöninger in Munich in 1967. Beautifully sculpted and cast with rich verdigris colour and texture, this sculpture is elegant and portrays wonderful poise and anticipation with the horses 'before the start' of a race.
